What is BetoFresh HS®?

BetoFresh HS® is a concrete color specially developed for refreshing the color of open-pored concrete blocks. Unlike conventional color systems, BetoFresh HS® penetrates the concrete while maintaining its natural appearance. The result is an upgraded concrete surface that regains its original charm.

Application and requirements

• BetoFresh HS® is ideal for refreshing open-pored and uncoated concrete products, for example on paving stones, hermetically pressed concrete slabs, masonry blocks and on many other products.
• BetoFresh HS® works best on open-pored concrete because the color can penetrate the pores.
• BetoFresh HS® is not suitable for recoloring colored concrete surfaces, but only for refreshing existing colors.
• Concrete goods that have already been treated with factory-applied or subsequently applied surface protection systems are not suitable for the application of BetoFresh HS®.

Application instructions

Before applying BetoFresh HS® it is important to prepare the substrate thoroughly. The surface to be treated must be clean, dry and dust-free. Any efflorescence and incrustations must be removed beforehand by suitable means.

BetoFresh HS® can be applied by brushing, rolling or spraying. For vertical surfaces and coarse-pored concrete products, the use of a spray gun is recommended. Make sure that the treatment is carried out in dry weather and that the substrate is not exposed to direct sunlight.

Drying time varies depending on weather and temperature, but is usually between one hour and one day.

Our tip: To achieve an even result, BetoFresh HS® should be stirred thoroughly before and during application to avoid color differences.
